    Hi,

I am opting for 2011 because I think it is very important for one to be ready before attempting the exam.I will not be able to prepare this year up to the mark.I one year I will atleast be familier with the ups and downs of the exam.

Also,as I mentioned I am employed it is not possible for me to go for coaching classes.
Can you suggest any books which I can read for PA as a start?
Is taking PA along with History a good combination?
Are coaching classes important for the preparations?

Ishkee, coaching classes are not essential at all...but it has to be your decision and your comfort level to decide whether you want classes or not.
And since you are working,it does not seem viable. In this case please please make sure that the subject you choose commands sufficient interest ,so that you are motivated all along your preparation. Also its not attending classes alone that works....you can try to get intouch with some good teachers at coaching centres( since you are in gurgaon) whom you can visit say once in a month.
Then by next year you may be in a better position to plan your last lap of preparation.
    All the best!

    Thanks a lot sf13.
This post will be of great help to me.
As a start I am reading Sociology book of NCERT 11th standard and plan to read PA and pchycology as well so that I will be able to decide upon the second optional.
can you suggest any optional amongst these which is u think is a better choice taking into consideration scoring in exams, guidance and material available?

How can I start studying for General Studies?
