Hi Officers

I am working in an IT company, have done B.Tech in computer science.
I want to be an IAS officer. I want to start the preparation without leaving my present job. I am good in mathematics, but not sure if i will take maths as optional subject. I am from non-medical backgroud. Please suggest which subject i should i take.
And how to start the preparation. I would be thankful to you if someone can tell me about the basic of this paper UPSC like no of attempts, age limit etc.

You can select from many popular subjects like Geography, Public administration, Psycology and political science.
