I am not sure of where and how to start. Can you please help me out in answering the following questions so that it will help me in identifying a direction to proceed: 1. First of all, the coaching institutes. I ve heard that the Delhi institue is one of the best in the country. Does anyone know of how much it would cost for me there based on duration of stay with accomodation and the other fees etc.? 2. Is that worth travelling to Delhi for preparing Civil Services? or do i have good coaching centers with experienced masters in Chennai itself? And what would be the cost in Chennai going to be? 3. I currently have selected Sociology for my prelims and i'm not sure about my second subject for my mains. please suggest any subjects that would comparitively be easy than others. Awaiting your replies on these. Thanks and have a nice day. Regards, Kani.

It may give you an extra edge but in this Information age almost all the necessary details are available every where. So, If you are affordable to move towards Delhi you can go there otherwise you can prepare from here itself. For rest of your questions surf this forum and you'll get a lot of info.

the faculties @ Delhi can't teach you anything beyond what is given in any book or internet. cost can be around 40,000/- per subject (depends on how big name of the coaching class is) and calculating the hostel, food etc - it can be quite huge. i've never gone to delhi, i only know what people told me.
