What to preare in Indian History & Culture for mains-2009

First of all ,
I would like to thanks all those who replied to my querries and suggested me the right way of preparation .

Coming to point,
For GS Mains in Indian History &Culture what should i study(list of tpoics) and which books should i go through.
kindly suggest me the books and the order of reading those books.

but i suppose that sppectrum will only cover modern indian but for indian history n culture there must be some topics to study ,otherwise reading books regarding whole ancient india would be trouble some.I am not able to find topics/chapters to be studied for indian history n culture

vipin, you must now start reading the previous threads in the site before asking questions. your doubts have already been thoroughly discussed in previous threads. please read them and then post your specific queries so that the officers need not waste their times discussing the same things over and over again. i hope you would understand.

I use to fist find my querry in the previous threads but when i dont get exact solution of my problem then i seek help of the officers I could understand what you want to tell me but sir , when i dont get the exact solution in the previous threads only then i post my problem, no doubt you people had shown me the correct path otherwise i will get away from right path, but sir still i did not find what to preapre in that section

I also want to know that apart from NCERTs which books must be studied for history section of GS?
And, which section of Indian History out of ancient,medieval and modern history requires more attention?
