The thing is one of my frend's friend happens to have someone he knows inside upsc....he got to know his mains marks even before the mains results were out...he scored 846...tht way he also got to know the mains cutoff for this yr.....anyways i know this info cannot be 100% verified....but i feel we can rely on it.....

very interesting.and i was living in the myth that UPSC was full proof confidential.

Long time ago, I had heard from a friend that ******* sir used to boast in his class that he can get the application filled even after the last date of submission!

it seems that UPSC is not only unpredictable but also a lot 'underground' activities going on as well.

Well, I was surprised as hell when I came to know that you can figure out your mains marks. I was offered but I preferred not to know them. I didn't want to know them before my interview as it could hinder my thought process. An the rumour mill has it that many know their marks. Hmmmm!

It depnds on value of info ..

If you think any info .. get me the budget summary before presented in the parliament ... you can easily make crores!!

or get me the info of the price @ which any merger and accquisiton happens ..

or get me the info before hand if India is importing sugar !!

Now knowing marks few days before .. knowing cut off .. hardly makes a differnce so i guess they should be accesible ..

I have no issues if UPSC puts up these marks on the net for everyone. The only issue is the backroom dealing which is unfair!
