I have cleared the prelims and have received the form for the Mains exam.
Point No. 24 requires us to provide information about our

1- Prizes, medals, scholarships,
2- team/games/ Sports/ NCC
3- Positions of distinction and leadership held in School and College
4- Other extra curricular activities, interest etc.

There is just one line provided in the form for each point. The space is just not sufficient for providing all the information.
What am I supposed to do now??
Can I write everything down in a separate piece of paper and attach it as an enclosure and state "refer to enclosure No..... " in the form??
There is nothing specific in the instructions. I just want to play it safe. Is this permitted??

If you have any medals, prizes or what so ever. Write.
Or Draw a line opposite to that Point No.24 : ------------------------ Like this. No Problem. But don't forget, if you cleared the prelims, your interview will be based on those papers in which you have filled now.

you cant add any enclosures to your application. stick to the space you are provided with. upsc doesn't expect you to write your autobiography in that one single line. learn to be precise and to the point. no point writing essays on ones exploits in any field.

if you have won a lot of prizes in a variety of extracurricular activities, just say precisely. no need to tell that you have won second prize in debate in 8th class conducted by good templars institute and first prize in fancy dress competition in your graduation conducted by rotary international etc.

remember, the more irrelevant stuff you write now, the more the chances that the interview Board members would grill you in the interview. be clear in what you are and what you write in the form.

Thank you Chanda Sir for your timely input.I can share some thing regarding this.In my P.S.C. Interview I was not only grilled but to be truthful, abused for mentioning keeping ornamental fishes as my hobby and not knowing much about pisciculture.The members asked me the scientific names of several tropical fishes,common diseases and their cure etc. etc.So my friends take every possible care regarding this.

Hi Friends,
It seems my friend made a mistake while filling the Mains form in Col. No. 25 (a) which requires applicants to include no. of attempts including the current year. Due to oversight he has counted and mentioned his earlier attempts excluding this year's. Will that be too much of a problem?
otherwise all the other information are correct(in fact he has mentioned correctly the years of his earlier attempts in Col. No. 27). Will UPSC send any other form for rectification if there are such mistakes? Will that matter if cleared for interview?Is there any possiblity of cancellation of the entire Mains Form?
It will be of immense help if some can throw some light.
