Kushal, that was a good one.
In fact, i too do not know how to wear a tie, remember how many times you and prateek helped out in LBSNAA.
However i was prepared for the situation u stated ( take off yr tie and wear it)and in my interview i had a prepared answer too
i would have answered, " sir, i do not know how to wear a tie, but for this important day, i felt that i would have been incomplete before you without a tie, however, i do realise that its important to know how to wear it myself, and that will be one of the first things i will learn now"
i was confident that this answer would go off well, and i was also confident of answering follow up questions if any
anyways it was not required
basically, pl be confident and have conviction in your answers

don't worry, you'll always get a helping hand from the other interviewees.

Hi,

This is a query from the lady officers.
Please guide me whether I should wear cotton, silk or crepe saree.
I would like to wear colors like sky blue or very light green as they are very pleasant to the eye. But someone told me that darker colors like navy blue and dark brown show maturity. Please advise me in this respect also.

Is short hair a demerit with the orthodox members? I mean do the board members have a preference for less modern looking females?

Please guide.

Regds,
Shubhra.

hi Shubra,
how are you? with regards to query as to what to wear on the D-Day, my advice would be to wear anything that you are comfortable with. it can either be a saree or salwar kameez. since the interview is around April/may it is preferable that the dress be made of cotton.as to the shade of colours to be worn, it goes without saying that they should suit your complexion and should not look gaudy or flashy.ona hot summer day, lighter, pleasant colours are more pleasing to the eye and hence are suggested. with regrds to salwar kameez, the point to be kept in mind are that they should be well cut and not too revealing with low necklines.
as to the query on hair, short or long hair should not be a cause for concern,. only one should take care to see that it is shampooded or well oiled. dandruff should be kept under control and avoid dyeing the hair in colours other than the natural shades that go down with Indians.
The Board members judge the candidates for their opinions on various issues, their personality and thir ability to take decisions .An would be Officer who would command the respect and awe from his or her subordinates would be expected to dress decently and be an example to follow. there is no truth in saying that the Board members prefer less modren looking ladies.
so dress according to the occasion and the weather and carry yourselg with dignity and decorum
all the best.
