i remember having given the same hobby as yours, table tennis. i'll narrate an interesting episode in the interview. the chairman of the interview committee (i'll not name him) was a man of short stature (of course of a very high calibre). he started asking me questions on table tennis. the first question he asked me was on ping pong diplomacy. (Kish you have to be prepared for this as well). i wasn't able to give a very convincing answer. he then saw i was feeling very uncomfortable that i wasn't able to give a very good reply on the very first question.

just to put me at ease, he started off asking me simple questions like the types of grips in table tennis and what grip i use. i told him i use the shake hand type of grip. he asked me why i dont use the penhold grip. i told him rather witlessly that the grip suits the short statured chinese and koreans rather than a tall guy like me. and just as i completed the sentence i saw the chairman and noticed his stature and i got the shock of my life. there was a silence of about one odd second that seemed like eternal. and then everone burst out laughing and i can tell you i was never so relieved all my life. such a gem of a person he was. and he rated me very highly as well.

I don't know much details about the game..
I have started playing it some 1.5 yrs ago but never bothered to know about different kind of grips.. pingpong diplomacy etc..

I don't even know that different types of grips exists ..etc..etc..

With all due respect, i was actually sticking to the issue in question...

for example, what i wanted to know was that whether the board members can go into the physics(harmonics etc) of the working of a guitar and that too, to what extent...provided you have mentioned that you play the guitar...

and other similar parallels...
(that was the technical part i was referring to)...
