- > The U.N.O came into existence in 1945.
- > The charter of teh UNO was signed on 26th June 1945.
- > It came into force on October 24 1945.

THE CHARTER OF U.N.O :
- > The Charter is the Constitution of the U.N.O.
- > It contains the aims & purposes of teh organisationa & the rules & regulations for achieving these aims.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES :
- > To maintain international peace & security
- > To develop a spirit of co-operation & friendly relations among the nations of the World.
- > To promote & encourage respect for human rights & for fundamental freedom.
- > To solve international problems of economic, social, cultural & humanitarian character.
- > To employ international machinery for teh promotion of economic & social advancement of peoples.

FLAG OF THE U.N.O :
- > White U.N. emblem superimposed on light blue background.
- > The emblem consists of teh global map projected from the North Pole & embraced in twin olive branches.
