Default Dams have become environmental disaster?

Dams when constructed, other than creating rehabilitation issues, also change the water flow pattern in the downstream areas of that dam thereby reducing the productivity in that area.

The recent move to link rivers, has a potential to change the natural course of rivers that may lead to huge environmental disaster. The natural flow of rivers have developed over the centuries have a sustainable effect on the economy of the people and their society living alongside the river. But due to change in the natural course and artificial impounding of river water, we are creating economic disaster, as we are doing so without understanding the entire spectrum factors that are linked to a river.

Do you agree with this?

Yes sir I agree with you,
Geographically, large dams have contributed to earthquakes. The best thing is to build micro dams and check dams.

I partially agree with the above friends views. its true that its have bad effect on ecological system but as far as effect on so called sustainable econmy is considered may not be true. To avoid this FR(feasibilty report) sholud be prepared with honesty considering all factors.

in my opinion Dams should be constructed ..

by building more & more dams it will be more helfull..

dams generally serves the primary purpose of retaining water ..
one of the best place for building dams is a narrow part of deep river valley ..this will be best place.. i feel..
