Prostitution, if legalised, will become an institution. But if the Prostitutes are empowered financially, from other than Prostitution, its's better. They will become a real power or pressure group, if financially free. Hence, make them financially free - must be the goal of every NGO or Government. No women enters prostitution out of passion. Ditching and Traficking is there.

No. prostitution is flourishing like anthing......Daily news cn be heard about sex rackets operations. How can prostitution be stopped? Just arresting sex workers is not solution because once they come out they start their business. Sex workers are active hidenly all over India. Prostitution activities cannot be curbed fully. Then, question arises why not to legalise it through making amendments in cosntituon of India.. It will be beneficial in a number of way mentioned below: 1. Govt. can earn revenue through it by levying service tax on prostituon services. 2. Decrease in Number of rape cases as people will have easy and safe access to sex workers. 3. Sex workers can be provided separate places to operate and access to any residential areas can be prohibited to them. It will help sex workers to keep away from the society as they can operate without fear to their places provided to them. 4. Govt. can directly make arrangement for safe intercourse and hence decrease the cases of AIDS all over India. Some intellectual opine that it will force more and more girsl to prostitution by middlemen. I think it is quite irrelevant. You can see even in present scenario it is happening and in case such cases notices action are taken by the police. Even after legalisation of prostituin forced sex will remain crime and legal action will be taken against the erring person. ....... Sorry if I hurted anyones feelings ... its just my opinion .

New for us but already in existence in some countries. May be it attract a fierce opposition from our conserved and narrow-minded society. But even it is not legalised it will go on at same rapid pace. At least, we can make society more safer and enhance Govt. revenue by legalising it.(quote)
