Default Electrical as an optional: Feedback/ Views

    Hi all,

I am looking for a general opinion about choosing electrical as an optional subject. Like scoring, tough or easy, any previous experiences of any body with this subject, overall chances of cracking with this optional.

    Any comment/Feedback/View/Experience is highly appreciated.

    Thank You.

for mains people generally do not take electrical as an optional. even with the reduced syllabus it takes substantial amount of time to complete it as compared to other optional and gs.
moreover the percentage of paper you can attempt is directly proportional to the syllabus you have completed(examiner make it sure despite of giving options). also examiner sets very lengthy paper, mostly people can complete only 40-50% of the paper, and maximum one can complete is 80%.
very few people(20-30) write mains with electrical, most of them dont get marks because of above factors, but in last 3 year people(however, only one) are getting marks. 2007-rank 2(352/600), 2006-rank 1(2006-395/600, 2005-368/600).
