my first optional is medical science but confused about the 2nd optional..
whether to take psychology or zoology or public administration or any other...

all the above optionals you mentioned are popular and you wouldnt have any problem finding material. other factors you can consider while picking up optionals are your own aptitude and interest in the subject, availability of coaching institute(if you require) your prior acquaintance with the subject and helpfulness in preparation for GS.

try going through previous years papers and syllabi of the optionals you have short listed and take a considered decision.

I am also a Doctor ,

i think zoology is best ------ as the whole of 2 nd paper for mains is covered in our I year of MBBS. and only thing which we should read is first paper. and that too we will be having some idea about it as we studied in our I and II puc life.

psychology though interesting [ for many ] , i felt its difficult..
