A single user has been putting up a large number of threads giving details about every single mountains volcano and lake in every possible region..Its been more like copying and pasting topical stuff right out of Wikipedia..such posts can create confusion in the minds of newcomers and can reinforce the misconception of studying 'everything under the sun' rather than selective studying of topics for G.S.....Morever, because so many threads come up at the same time, important threads may be lost in between...

So although i appreciate the enthusiasm of the user, i request both the user and the moderator to kindly consider my view and do the needful

Its great that the User is giving us info...

Bcoz all the posts are related to single subject..can be posted in a single thread..

Anyways therez no Question of missing out any important thread.. u can click on the category and u'll have all the respectivce threads there.. also the latest thread always appears first... So Njoy...

Gokulgr, When u log in to IO just below ur avatar, you will find new posts( hyperlinked). The new posts are the one which have been posted since u logged out. If u click on that u can view all the posts since the time u logged out , so no question of important threads getting lost..Hope ur problem is solved now...

but my reply to this post given by gokul goes like this: believing of the below is left to you only...

its me only who has been given much details about everything..
there is a strong reason behind why i post only those particular topics in one particular forum...

i wanted to ask you that when have you been seen that i have cut, copy & pasted to this site?

your source may be wikipedia, but my source is not wikipedia, & my source is the book which i read till now IKB..which has given me lots of important information.

if i could have been known about wiki , long back only i could have been given this website name & told you people that saying each & every stuff is there in this, so that i can relax myself by stop posting to this site.

till now nobody dontnow what im doing in this site...& also im not doing any unwanted things here...

im more realyed on books not on websites...if you come across by wiki you keep it why you want blame me that im cpying & posting it in site, do you think i dont have any other work to do rather than i copyrite the whole website...?

im not there here to make believe any member/officer to whatever i give here (posts) you believe...

i also till today not told/forcing any member/officer to read all my post what ever im posting & comment on my post...its you people are doing everything...

my intention is not to copyright any webiste to site & make others that i knew everything...

im thinking that you are huge web surfer so that , you wanted diggout & know the posts given by any member in this site from where they are getting ... so purposefully viewed/surfed wiki & saying that im pasting everything from one particular website.

i knew the rules & regulations of this site very well than you long back...

i till today i have believed in myself that i have not done any wrong in this site regarding anything...i allways keep these rules in my mind...in case if i could have been copyed & pasted it from any website , either the admin/moderator any one will warn that not to do any copyrght from any website...

since that you are getting everything from wikipedia..dont think that other members also too are getting from wiki only...each & every member will be having different ways of source....

in case if im willing to copyright anything from wiki by this time i could have been opened my own website...

in case if i want to copyright something from some website i first ask/seek the permission of admin & then only i do ...

im not doing any mad work here which / what ever comes to my brain i will do it..as per my wish...

till today i have not posted any unwanted stupid deatils regarding anything in any forums it can be....its you members are making the post as meaningless, unwanted...as offcourse as far upsc is not going to ask any question regarding anything...

if you wanted to know my source of knowledege you could have been asked me i could have been told you...without seeing/knowing the truth dont unnecessarily blame me...

i joined this site not to copy paste any information from any website, my intention is to clear xms & clarify my all doubts regarding particular subjects.

& hereafter i request all members & officers not to read my any of my post & start blaming me that everything i have been done some copy paste work here.

first of all the members who feels that what ever i gave is there in your source of wiki its better you delete of my posts, im not bothered anything..

Hello everyone .... the issue is really hot but would like to convey one thing unwanted information is there in the site no doubt which naturally any blog or site can have. As far as copy pasting is concerned i dnt find anything wrong in that as lot of people get the material from varied sources at one place but would really request some members to post the same information in the particular post.Some new comers or the old ones are more interested in increasing the number of their post and getting some new tag which is not good as far as i feel rest its just the way i think and would really appreciate if the members are more responsible towards utilising the platform in a better way.

I request all the members to directly inform to any of the moderators, when you find anything to be corrected about any members or their threads or convey the message to that particular member in their profile or in the thread itself. Instead, you can avoid directly telling in Open forum which will make many debates and confusions.

I think my comment has not been taken in the right sense. What I wanted to raise was not whether the information has been copy pasted (Wikipedia was jus an example) but whether the information has any relevance from the exam point of view(Volcano names, their height in feet,metres etc). And if and only if it has perfectly no relevance from the exam point of view, the moderators or the user herself could make corrections. Already there exists a misconception that CSE requires you to know everything under the sun. A new comer may find it exasperating to see so much, almost 'unstudyiable' info.

But it has spawned a very unhealthy debate that is not good for the community as a whole. So i am stopping it here with my above clarification. I just want to make my intention clear.

I am really sorry to the user if it has offended her. And as pointed out by the moderator I will raise any further issues either with the moderators or the person themselves.

Foremost I would like to thank the administrators for restoring the post which had been deleted in the evening for the reasons unknown. Also I would appreciate gokul for expressing regrets. I think the issue is now closed . let us not discourage anyone ...let us respect each other...We can exchange our views and we can debate....Tommorow many amongst us may become responsible officers...let us try to maintain decorum...let us not try to overstep the jurisdiction which may hurt someone. There are ways to express or make our point, but in doing so let us remember that we should be balanced so that the issue may be amicably settled( if there is any such )..
