Nethra, please take the advice in the right spirit. all of us here at io.com team appreciate your contribution to the community here and you mean a lot to us.

The forum rules are meant to inculcate a sense of disciple among the civil services aspirants. we understand the youth of today is bred in the SMS culture but you cant write the exam in SMS language. It is our effort to see that this avoidable habit would not get in your way to attain your ultimate goal of becoming an officer.

If you see the last sentence of your above quoted post, you'll understand how addicted you are to the SMS language. Just see the posts of any of the officers and you'll understand what it takes to explain an idea with clarity. This is a very formal forum and we appreciate if one sticks to the rules.

Don't react to criticisms leveled at you with anger. when you become an officer, you'll find people criticizing you for all thins you do and you have to take it in your stride. Just think this is a sort of practice for your bright career.

And, i have personally checked your previous posts and i have found that this sort of short forms have generally not been used by you in your previous posts. This deviation which nethra putti was pointing out is only an aberration and not any general trait. So i have reversed the infraction you received which means that the warning issued to you has been withdrawn.

Happy posting!

I just copied the SMS Shortcuts from a website. I wonder if Nethra has used one of these

With the speed of adoption and easiness of their usage, I am pretty sure, UPSC would soon have questions on them.

I have no count as to how many times I hear this at my office in a day; and major source of time goes in making a level playing field.

My Staff would tolerate the deprivation, but never the discrimination.

Nethra Reddy,
Do help us identify those posts without complete English, and we would promptly take corrective measures.

she purpose'lly warnd me, i think.
i dnt see that she warned others.

there is nothing wrong in being short tempered before coming into civil services. but once you become an officer, you should control your emotions and personal preferences. most of us had our own idiosyncrasies before entering the job but we have toned them down to suit the needs of the job.

you should be flexible and not rigid in adopting yourself to situations. if you inculcate discipline in life, this should not be a big task.

and you are not alone in being requested not to use sms language. i have myself requested a few members to refrain from using such incomplete english. thankfully they have all obliged me, just like you have.

i meant that your usage of sms language is not a general characteristic of yours but only an exception in that particular post.
