Thumbs up Vision & Mission of IndianOfficer.com

IndianOfficer.com is an online portal for those who are preparing or planning to prepare for elitist civil Service.

It is run by Indian Bureaucrats to equip Civil Service Aspirants to handle IAS examination with competence and confidence.

Not only we endeavor to equip young aspirants to face examination, but our earnest desire is to prepare "OFFICER IN MAKING" by developing 'Officer like' personality to face the real challenge that lies ahead in their carrier as Indian Officer. By this partnership from before to after UPSC Civil Service examination we intend to be always there as Big Brother.

"Door to Bureaucracy from the floor of Bureaucrats".

When we stated preparing for civil services, there was no one to guide as to what is civil service, how to choose optionals, what books to read, which magazine to consult, which coaching institute to join, where to get notes, where to give mock interviews, how to fill-in mains form, what choice to make while filling in the services, what hobby to fill, where to stay for preparation, & how to effectively manage finance during the course of preparation.

One of the biggest bottleneck which test your endurance is the hardship you faces financially and uncertainty of future which almost all seasoned bureaucrat will echo on the hindsight.

You do fanatic purchase of books, notes, & photocopies. Most of you will Helter-shelter run from one coaching institute to another, run from old JNU campus to Delhi university in search of right book and photocopy materials, toss from one 'Makan Malik' to another for having cheapest 4th floor annexe room, spent so much time in selecting 'Tifin System' at old Rajinder Nagar, fighting and surviving with the meager amount of money one has. Those of us who land up for coaching don't have friends initially with whom they can consult, make group and prepare. Most of you without any bureaucratic background, would never be able to interact with officers who have cleared the exam. Even if we knew some, you hardly get the chance to meet them; either because they are un-approachable or you are hesitant.

As we already have strong community of Indian Officers at IndianOfficer.in, we do not have dearth of officers who are willing to help new aspirants. This is what makes IndianOfficer.com portal an unique and most professional web place ever made for aspiring Civil Service candidates.

However, we are constraint by our official job and engagements, that it seemed a daunting task to run this portal. Hence we masterminded our web Portal with professional architecture front end and back end so even with less of time we are able to manage and reply to most of the queries and web portal.

This web portal is developed completely by an officer and also managed by group of officers themselves, and there are no private company running / sponsoring or any other motive involved except to genuinely empathize & help with issues faced by those who land up in this battle field. Did somebody said: Officers are not technocrat! Not anymore I guess!

This portal not only provide an easy and intutive interface for your interaction, but also provides effective handling of all queries raised by members in much less time then is possible to handle by any other mean (email, yahoo groups or chat)

The portal is backed by:
  1. World class web design with complete security and highly interactive nature
  2. State of the art Help line system with truly integrated Multi-Channel solution allowing us to manage our emails, online support issues regarding civil service preparations raised by you. Some key features of the Help Line include: AJAX based Rich User Interface, Active Directory (LDAP), complete user account integration and member area for keeping track of your posts, View/Share feature allowing us to guide our members in real time, Work Schedules and Escalations if not responded in due time, Detailed Reports and Analytics, Teamwork module allowing us to create shared Events, Contacts and Tasks.

By this now we share same level of software competence as some of the world renowned companies such as Skypee, Modern Bill, Dialpad, University of Calgury, Volva, Navman, ICQ, eesa , etc.
  3. VBulliten based World most popular forum software, which will create strong community of IAS aspirants. We may guide, be with you during your weak and struggling times, and kick start your preparations but we sincerely believe that the best person to help an IAS aspirant is another IAS aspirant, and this forum will make this place an hub for all IAS aspirant to come and share.

Not only you can interact with us but with other fellow aspirants by way for forums through IndianOfficer web portal with whom you otherwise would never have met.

Our Support Officers not only will provide professional support through our Support Desk, but would also pitch-in at forums here and then to help you around and live-in up the forums.
  4. Those fortunate of you who clears the civil service, gets instant membership to the elite Online community of Indian Bureaucrats: http://www.indianofficer.in
  5. IndianOfficer.com will focus upon one-to-one interaction with officers of recent batch to oldest with Civil Service aspirants, thus fostering great energy in those who are preparing for civil service. This will be especially during the time of personality test.

As I can remember and you all can reciprocate, that during my preparation, I used to meet all those who have failed before (those who completely failed exhausting all their attempts/ those who failed in previous attempts) or the stories of veterans who were best in their subject field and also prepared extensively, and how strong they were and how hard they tried but failed...
I tell you guys, it's really really frustrating to hear from those who have lost; you immediately start recognizing and indetifying with what ever efforts they have made with yourself, and you intend to foresee only failure. Once I met MP cadre IAS officer during my struggling days, and immediately it lifted my ethos and pathos.

We from the other end see this very clearly and would now want to sincerely help 'Officer in making' overcome this.
  6. Which service is good, what are the service conditions, what are the perks, & carrier expansion plans in different service, are all important questions that haunts before you enter into civil service or fill mains form. IndianOfficer support been provided by Officers from almost all service will give you the right and balanced view about this.
As this portal is managed by Officers themselves, New Aspirant will get the best of advice: the most authentic and the boldest. We will make sure that our Officers rich experience helps you to find the right atmosphere, choice of subjects, books, coaching, group of students, personality development and the much needed support when you are feeling low. We will enthusiaze you with right amount of motivation and confidence continuously.
