But there is a time gap between pib and Union Public Service Commission in result publication of about 5-10 mins.
First it comes on Union Public Service Commission, then PIB

Unbelievable! One whole day wasted... At this rate, I'll never be ready for UPSC Preliminary Examination if I'm unfortunate enough to have to write again. I'm getting back to books now. :sad:one of my frined called and he got answer tomorrow

Well it is quite possible that the result might be out only on Mon/Tue... After all the medicals only got over on the 1st.
I just got carried away by the words of supposed "insiders" and believed that today was the day. *sigh*
Ah well.
By the way, does the Union Public Service Commission call the 1st ranker only to intimate about the result? Will they put the name in PIB site?

There is nothing like that at all. Everyone are treated the same at Union Public Service Commission. I have 2 Indian Administrative Service, 1 Indian Police Service and 3 Indian Foreign Service officers in My family friend; they call this Bull****. Its better to stop guessing and wasting your precious prel prep time (if you are attempting again).

In fact I've zilch idea about anything related to Union Public Service Commission's idiosyncrasies. I've just relayed the information I got from Orkut. Someone else please confirm.
